Lê, em nome do teu Senhor Que criou; Criou o homem de algo que se agarra. Lê, que o teu Senhor é Generosíssimo, Que ensinou através do cálamo, Ensinou ao homem o que este não sabia.

Quranic Conhecimento

Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"Whoever follows a path to seek knowledge, Allah will make easy for him the path to Paradise. The angels beat their wings in approval of the seeker of knowledge, and those who are in the heavens and on earth pray for forgiveness for the scholar, even the fish in the water. The superiority of the scholar over the worshipper is like the superiority of the moon over all other heavenly bodies. The scholars are the heirs of the Prophets, for the Prophets did not leave behind dinars or dirhams, rather they left behind knowledge, so whoever gains knowledge has gained great good fortune."
[At-Tirmidhi: Hadith 2606]

Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"The search of knowledge is an obligation laid on every Muslim"

Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"A Muslim is never satiated in his quest for good (knowledge) till it ends in paradise."

Mu'adh ibn Jabal (RA) said:
"Acquire knowledge for the pleasure of Allah, for learning engenders piety, reverence for one's Lord and fear of wrongdoing. Seeking knowledge for Allah's pleasure is an act of worship, studying it is a celebration of God's glory (lit. Zikr), searching for it is a rewarding struggle (lit. Jihad), teaching it to someone who realizes its worth is a charity (lit. Sadaqa), and applying it in one's home strengthens family unity and kinship. ... Knowledge is a comforting friend in times of loneliness. It is the best companion to a traveler. It is the innermost friend who speaks to you in your privacy. Knowledge is your most effective sword against your foe, and finally, it is your most dignifying raiment in the company of your close comrades." [Hilyat'ul Awliya Wa Tabaqat'ul Asfiya]

Quranic Knowledge

Understanding and Knowledge of Quran - THE BEST OF ALL TYPES OF KNOWLEDGE!!!

The first revealed message in the Quran is 'Iqra' (meaning: Read)

Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"The most superior among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Quran and teach it."
[Bukhari: Book 61: Hadith 546)

Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"The example of him (a believer) who recites the Quran is like that of a citron which tastes good and smells good. And he (a believer) who does not recite the Quran is like a date which is good in taste but has no smell. And the example of a dissolute wicked person who recites the Quran is like the Raihana (sweet basil) which smells good but tastes bitter. And the example of a dissolute wicked person who does not recite the Quran is like the colocynth which tastes bitter and has no smell.
[Bukhari: Book 6 - Virtues of the Quran: Volume 61: Hadith 538 ]

'Ubay b. Ka'b - Allah be pleased with him - said:
Take the Book of Allah as your leader (imâm) and be pleased with it as a judge and ruler. It is what your Messenger left amongst you. It will be an intercessor for you. It is to be obeyed. It is a witness never doubted. In it is a mention of you and those before you, and judgment for whatever happens amongst you. And in it is news about you and whatever will come after you.
[Al-Dhahabî in Siyar A’lâm Al-Nubalâ’, in the biography of ‘Ubay b. Ka’b]
